The Bruins announced signing David Krejci to a six year extension worth $43.5 million. Broken up in years one and two at $7.25 million, years three and four at $7.5 million and years five and six at $7.0 million. There is a no trade clause the first 4 years and limited no trade the last two years. The Bruins now have $54 million committed to just 11 players heading into 2015-16 season. Take note Torey Krug, Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser, money is evaporating quickly on this team. Now that Krejci is signed, I'm receiving a signal from the Bruins front office that perhaps Ryan Spooner is now officially a trade chip as a package to take Chris Kelly or Johnny Boychuk for cap relief. Stay tuned for further developments.
In other news, Zdeno Chara and Milan Lucic joined yesterday's players at Rusticcia Arena today, expanding the list of Bruins getting in early and committed to working hard.
Until Next Time!
