Earlier today one of New England's premier big men committed to Stanford. Josh Sharma announced over his twitter page that he will be heading to California next season to play his college ball. According to 24/7 Sports his top three schools were Wisconsin, Boston College, and Stanford. Sharma who is ranked number 75 in ESPN's top 100 players in the class of 2015 will be the biggest recruit Stanford has coming in so far for next season. Coming in this coming season Stanford has All American Reid Travis who will provide a big man they have been missing down low for quite sometime out in Cali.
As for Sharma it should be interesting to see where he will fit in if Reid Travis were to stay for his sophomore season. Every players goal is to win a starting role and if Travis were to stay I think Sharma will end up coming off the bench his freshman season, which would not be a bad thing. Players who "get thrown into the fire" do not always live up to their potential. In Sharma's case I think that a year coming off the bench would do him good from a majority standpoint. This prep season he will look to lead Northfield Mount Hermon to a NAPSAC title with his buddy Aaron Falzon who also just recently committed to Northwestern.
